1865 PO directory shows Bessemer H. & Co., Bronze Manufacturers at this address, but doesn't mention Baxter House. ODNB and other sources refer to experiments at Baxter House between 1843 and 1855. However, 7 Church Terrace was a tiny house and could never have been used for heavy industrial experiments. Bessemer's patents always give his address as Baxter House, Old St. Pancras Road, whether from 1843 or 1852 St Pancras Ironworks is clearly shown on the 1870 OS map, opposite Old St Pancras church, on the West side of Old St Pancras Road. 1841 census has Bessemer living in 10 Percival Street, Clerkenwell https://www.ancestrylibraryedition.co.uk/imageviewer/collections/8978/images/MDXHO107_659_660-0475?pId=7000349 1851 census has him at Charlton House Possibly, the name Baxter House was used for 7 Church Terrace initially and later transferred to the Iron Works across the road.
